Cheesequake State Park

Cheesequake State Park is located near Old Bridge Township, New Jersey. This park was established in 1937 and encompasses almost 1,300 acres of land.
Geography
A tidal estuary and cedar swamp are among the many diverse geological features of Cheesequake State Park, which also includes freshwater and saltwater marshes. A portion of the New Jersey Pine Barrens is found within, and the perk is dotted with an array of open fields.
Activities
Cheesequake State Park offers a number of activities, including five trails for mountain biking and hiking. For those looking for recreational fishing, a variety of catches abound, with trout, sunfish, catfish and even crabs among the varieties stocked in or near Hooks Creek Lake. For summer visitors, boating and swimming are offered, while skiing, sledding and snowshoeing are found in the winter. The activities within the park are accessible to the handicapped in accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.
Camping
Cheesequake State Park offers facilities for individual and group outings, including spaces for tents and trailers, bathrooms and access to potable water. While individuals may enter the park at any time, groups of 20 or more are encouraged to reserve in advance to ensure the facilities they require are available when they arrive.
Park access
Cheesequake State Park is easily accessible from exit 120 along the Garden State Parkway and from the north and south avenues of Route 34.
