Water Parks
New Jersey offers over a dozen different water parks for your consideration. Get your fill of speed slides at a classic seaside park like Breakwater Beach, dry off on a roller coaster at Hurricane Harbor or take a leap into a pool from the state's highest cliff dive at Mountain Creek.
Breakwater Beach
The Breakwater Beach water park is located on the Jersey Shore, just a short walk from the ocean itself. The park is newly renovated and offers something for everyone. Breakwater Beach offers the largest aquatic play area for young children in the region, and it also provides a number of full-sized slides that are suitable for older kids. A multi-level entertainment area is available for people of all ages to keep cool.
Hurricane Harbor
If you want to make the most of your day off, then visit the Hurricane Harbor water park. You can enter just the water park or pay a special admission price tor access to both Hurricane Harbor and the adjacent Six Flags Great Adventure theme park. Hurricane Harbor offers close to a dozen different slides, plus lazy river, wave pool and play area attractions.
Mountain Creek
If you want to experience something different, then the Mountain Creek water park is unique. The park is built around a natural lagoon where you can swim in and around caves. The park is also home to the highest cliff jump in the state, a supervised ledge on Canyon Cliffs where you can leap 23 feet into a deep, natural pool below.
Sahara Sam's
When winter strikes you can still get a water fix at one of the many indoor water parks in New Jersey. Sahara Sam's is one of the largest indoor water attractions, with a play lagoon, a tree fort, a full-sized, double-barrel speed slide, a surf simulator and a 45-foot high Mt. Kilimanjaro raft ride.
